  53. 2. MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  56. To use Internet Phone, you will need:

  58. *  486/66 MHz
  59. *  8 MB RAM (12 MB recommended)
  60. *  Windows 95
  61. *  32-bit Winsock 1.1-compatible Internet TCP/IP connection
  62.    (minimum connection speed 14,400bps SLIP or PPP)
  63. *  Windows-compatible sound card#, microphone and speakers.

  65. #  A full-duplex sound card is needed for full-duplex mode

  68. Note:  A 32-bit Winsock comes with Windows 95.  You may be able 
  69. to use a 16-bit winsock by downloading and installing a winsock 
  70. utility from the following address:

  75. 4.  HOW TO ORDER
  76.  
  77. Internet Phone requires a user license in order for the software to be fully functional.

  79. To purchase a user license:

  81. -  Go under the Help menu of Internet Phone and choose Registration Wizard
  82. -  Click on the button Order a License.

  89. 5. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  92. To install Internet Phone:
  93.  
  94. 1. Insert disk 1 into the drive.
  95. 2. Click on the Start button, and then choose Run... from the displayed menu.
  96. 3. Type the drive containing the diskette followed by :\setup.
  97.    For example: A:\setup
  98. 4. Choose OK.
  99. 5. Follow the step-by-step Internet Phone Setup instructions on your screen.

  102. 5. TECHNICAL SUPPORT

  105. The Support Wizard:

  107. If you need technical support, you can get help from the Technical Support Wizard
  108. To open the Support Wizard:
  109. 1. Choose Support Wizard from the Help menu.
  110. The Internet Phone Support Wizard window appears.
  111. 2. Click the Technical Support button.
  112. 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  113. The Technical Support Wizard displays a list of answers
  114. to common questions or problems provided by VocalTec's Technical Support.

  126. 6. SOFTWARE UPDATES

  129. For a direct access to download software updates from within the application do the following:
  130.  
  131. 1. Choose Support Wizard from the Help menu.
  132. 2. Click the 'Update Software' button in the Support Wizard window.
  133.  
  134. Your Web browser will open and display the Update Software page from which you can download the
  135. latest version of Internet Phone Release 4.
